Join Samantha Akers, E-RYT 500, C-IAYT, CMT, Eco-Chaplain, CMT-L, MFRT, for her Anatomy & Alignment through the Myofascial Lens  course. In these 5 online Zoom sessions, Sam will dive into the magical world of fascial and how it informs and shapes our movement through the nervous system based on a dynamic, alive relationship. Our extracellular matrix is our information system of the body and it is deeply interwoven into the nervous system, muscular system and our emotional body. Sam blends anatomy, alignment principles, myofascial science, polyvagal theories and yoga of the 5 koshas in this deeply informative, fun and eye opening training. You will explore from the feet to the head and get to know everything in between from the "issues in the tissues" to how to repair mal-alignments in the physical body which leads to a healing in the energy body (nervous system). All classes will combine: lecture, asana practice, partner work, possible short assignments between sessions, and time for questions. All classes will be recorded for later viewing.
